After all what will he achieve even if the accused are convicted? God has bestowed Fr. Newton with tremendous blessings. If Aires and others did not need him, some others around the world need him and have got a smile back on their face. Goa has lost a good priest in the process but some other needy diocese has gained. God's ways are strange. We wish Fr. Newton well.
QUESTIONS: Whatever may or may not have been the real, imagined or trumped up collateral issues: 1: What was THE issue before the courts in THIS case? 2: Is trespass acceptable according to Indian law? 3: Does Gabe believe that he and (say) 14 others can suddenly turn up at his parish priest's residence in the UK or during a meeting at the church, and demand to be heard ....or else? 4: Going by what is easily researchable on the net, Is Target Goa accurate or misleading (intentionally or negligently) as to the identity of the true harasser in this case? 5: Is there any grounds to believe that those in power can abuse that power? 6: On the materium-obfuscatum, Is Gabe able to state categorically that (a) The Goa Children's Act abides by the precepts of common law in the UK or India, for that matter? (b) A person is innocent unless proven guilty in COURT ? 7: Are there any reasons to believe that (a) The UK Goans may have a point (b) Target Goa is a trustworthy source? jc
