RESPONSE: In answer to your rhetorical question, the chances are that the Police will disperse the crowd after taking down statements - I would definitely not be charged with assault nor would the others - Our Courts are up to the brim. Law enforcement officers in this country are meant to use their loaf, if they don't then the CPS would have to and not prosecute; our Justice system would come to a standstill, if the Police were over zealous. Our system here would definitely take the Priest to task and no amount of Church interference or influence would be of any use. Also to sue someone with any hope of success one would need at the very least £50k. The Police would have checked the man's computer, assuming he has one, to see if they could get some interesting stuff! Lastly but most importantly Ministers cannot and do not routinely pick up the phone to intervene in matters being investigated by the Police. -- DEV BOREM KORUM Gabe Menezes.
