re this from Selma Carvalho: This summer Goa's most eminent academic speakers will hold forth in London at the Global Goans Convention, 2011 Gabe Menezes asked: If the Goan tax payer is subsidising, why is there a distinction between members and non members on the payment front?
=== Strictly personal thoughts from me: Dear organisers, IF I wish to attend and I am NOT a Goa tax-payer, I hope you will charge me higher (as a non-member of the Organization which is hosting the event) than you would charge a member. Furthermore, if I claim to be a Goa-taxpayer demanding a 'break', please ask me for evidence that I have paid taxes in Goa; even Caju Feni tax might qualify me as a Goa-taxpayer. Disclaimer: The above should not be construed in a manner which affects anybody but myself. ps: I wish the organisers ALL the very best. "Bravissimo" I say to you. jc
