Mr. R Parrikar understands wrong. Mr M Parrikar has made no commitments whatsoever to retain the eco sensitive zones that are identified in RP2021. It is one of the things that the much vilified GBA is trying very hard to get him to commit to.
I am sorry Mr Parrikar considers the GBA a scam. As one of the people who gave several years of her life to working with the GBA to the best of her ability, all I can say is that we learnt a long time ago that you will be vilified the most by those who stand on the sidelines and do nothing but talk - or write as the case may be. We who did the work and fought our hardest to get the best for this state know our conscience is clear, and that what we did is highly valued at the grassroots by those who truly benefitted. I was not sleeping Mr Parrikar, I was out organising workshops teaching villages how to do proper socio economic planning, I was working on the Regional Plan for my village, I was following up complaints from ordinary people and making field visits to check on the truth of violations. And by the way - the election commission too considered the timing of the announcement political opportunism and ordered it stayed.
