Dear Venita,
It is my experience that those who do something in our community are much
maligned by by-standers. Please take no heed of such people. I decided a long
time ago, that I have to be like a horse. Put on a good pair of blinders and
carry on. It is easy for people to malign others. It is even easier when you
happen to have a Catholic name, and bab cannot be easily appended to your name.
There are many, many people in Goa who hold you in the highest regard and are
grateful to the GBA for the time and effort they have expended in the service
of Goa. A good barometer of who is contributing to Goa and who is not, for me
has always been my mother and her opinions on the matter. You are right up
there in her books.
