Tony de Sa wrote: There are several reasons I can cite for not doing what you have suggested. I will cite some of them.
1) It was raining heavily and visibility was poor. 2) The tail gate of the pick up was down. 3) There were six to seven thugs in the pickup plus driver. Did you seriously expect us to have a confrontation with them at that hour of the night? We are no kamikaze fighters. Incidentally one of my companions was FLs relative who had recently been severely injured in an accident. Was he also expected to go and pick up a fight with the miscreants. 4) The operation was a well rehearsed one. It was slam bang in and out, 5) I did not go to the police for reasons of my own - as I do not want to be involved with litigation and police hassles. It is my choice and my business. 6) I wrote to Goanet because I wanted people to be aware of what is going on at the tar bridge. 7) The message has already reached the CM through my post via someone very close to him. Just because I am not political and I don't spout political propaganda does not mean I do not have inputs to the CM. 8) Being abusive on Goanet is cheap - just a matter of keying in a few strokes and calling me a COWARD doesn't make me one. It only shows that "educacao de casa" was sadly neglected in the case of the abuser. And this is the man who wants to lead Goan Politics in the next election bah. Mervyn Lobo rightly has pointed out when the man has no argument he attacks the writer's person. 9) As far as I am concerned this is a CLOSED Chapter. I will not respond to anymore mails on this topic. Though you are free to have the last word. All the best, Doc. jc's comment: Dear Tonybab, I will try stay out of the 'inter-personal' attacks between two Moidecars which BOTH you and Floriano have (thus far) indulged in. That having been stated, I will add the following: a: What Tony has written makes sense. I have also read Floriano's most recent post. That too makes sense. Both of the posts clearly indicate how "free" one is in the much touted 'damucracy". (Somehow, my mind ran across Tony de Sa's missives on this matter to Bernado Colaco); I believe Alfred Cha Cha (who personally knows what it takes to make a difference and not just hot air. In the matter of personal sacrifice and sweat, I believe, Floriano too has paid his dues). b: I wonder if Tony's first post would have been benefited from some of the points (not the abuse) that he included in the post above. c: He is also right in stating that "being abusive is cheap". As a matter of fact, it is worse than cheap. d: What is this penchant Tony has wherein he (now) makes a set of 7 points and then plays "hit and run"? best jc
