Thanks, but no thanks! My "silence" on this issue has little or nothing to do with what I supposedly do with the rest of my time. Augusto has every right to "feel sad" for whomever he wants (including me); that is his prerogative. Mine is to prioritise the issues I wish to comment on, and discuss in public, often going by my (subjective) judgement on where I have something of utility to add to. If Augusto wishes to rake up a debate on a topic of his choice, he will have to work harder. I don't see Wayne C. Booth as capable of coming to the rescue in all situations. FN
