Folks,
English can be a difficult language.
Perhaps Prof Borges and FN meant to say that all the Goan Bishops of Goa were
bamons?

I have met four Goan Bishops. One a relative, one from my dads village, one
from my moms village and one who was our neighbour in Siolim. I estimate that
there are/have been more than 25 Bishops of Goan origin in my lifetime.

Lastly, it never occurred to me that these people became Bishops only because
of the peculiar type of Catholicism practiced by Indians.
