I'm still waiting for my login account to be verified at
bugs.gobolinux.org, so I thought I would pester the list in the meantime. I
just got home and launched the RC .iso through VMPlayer, and immediately
noticed that the icon for qtparted wasn't right. Clicking on it, I got an
error message that "KDEInit could not launch '/bin/qtparted'". I then clicked
on "Install GoboLinux" but got the message (logically enough) "No valid
partitions found. Create one using 'qtparted' or 'cfdisk'". Alright, I'll
try "Compile qtparted". Alas, that is also a no-go. After telling it to
satisfy the dependencies for ProgsReiserFS and NTFSProgs, I got the error
message,
"FetchArchive: Your Scripts package is too old. Please update it by
running 'InstallPackage Scripts'
Compile: Error fetching archive(s)."
Ok, so I follow the directions and upgrade to Scripts 2.6.3, then
try 'Compile qtparted' again. Which fails while installing ProgsReiserFS,
because it can't mount unionfs (because it's a LiveCD?)
Suggestions?
:Peter
