Speaking of desktop shortcuts, why is GIMP there? Doesn't make much sense
to have that be the only "miscellaneous" shortcut on the desktop.
And I noticed that Firefox is in "Lost and Found" in KMenu.

After struggling with it, I gave up, booted up another LiveCD, formatted
the virtual hard drive, and then went back to Gobo. The problem seemed to be
that Gparted just froze while trying to format the virtual hard drive,
whereas QTParted (on the other LiveCD) did it quickly and without any
complaints.

Yes, this worked. Perhaps this should be the default for the LiveCD
environment?
