Thanks for your help Jeremy & sorry for my delay in replying.

The Yahoo Pipes feed is valid:
http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpipes.yahoo.com%2Fpipes%2Fpipe.run%3F_id%3Deb4e9997e0a684cb94f352420949bfb5%26_render%3Drss

I know that the response is a 400 error with "Feed could not be
loaded" (verified in Firebug Net tab), but why is this? The feed is
fine when opened directly in a browser (for me):
http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=eb4e9997e0a684cb94f352420949bfb5&_render=rss
And loads ok when put through a Feedburner account before loading in
Google Feed API.

I compared the XML output with/without Feedburner, and it's 99%
identical (just the Feedburner namespace added - I can paste if
necessary). Has anyone else experienced problems implementing Pipes ->
Feed API, or have a working example they could show me?

Thanks!
