I use Sublime 2, with packages like Flake8, CodeIntel, SublimeRope. Works great for me. Several colleagues are using PyCharm, which I have to admit looks pretty smooth, especially if you spend a few minutes to set it up (if it's virtualenv vs buildout etc, get paths and test setup right) and take the effort to use sphinx compatible docstrings.
