I'm using Netbeans, many bugs, but great editor, got used to colors etc too much, can't leave it for other ide's
I tried PyCharm but hated the colorschemes, tried additional ones, hated them more, python functionality wasn't too appealing either, It's a great IDE to casually open a folder to edit, my 'test project' is on PyCharm Didn't try Sublime 2 for Python/Appengine but it would be my next choice. I was unable to use an Eclipse/PHP environment that my friends set up for their project, but after switching to Sublime 2 I was able to contribute to the project. Sublime 2 was a breeze for an Eclipse hater like me. What I like about Netbeans is that, although the python functionality is highly buggy, you can search inside all files pretty easily, so that makes up for the lack of python functionality, also the syntax correction is solid, HTML syntax isn't Django friendly. So to sum up, I'm hooked to Netbeans but don't get used to Netbeans. PyCharm might be an IDE to get used to for Appengine/Python, as they specifically work on python/django/jinja2/appengine usage and always improve (the updates say so, not me) On Monday, April 29, 2013 7:50:25 AM UTC+3, Takashi SASAKI wrote: > > I'm posting this topic for personal interest. > What is the most common IDE for Google App Engine with Python? > > I'm using PyDev for now.
