A roadmap would be very useful if it's up to date. I'm watching many issues on GAE, some of which are on the roadmap but I don't really have any confidence those are being addressed (given that other things are being delivered without visibility of them coming up).
I'm also implementing on appengine on behalf of my customers - having visibility of upcoming features/capabilities allows me to communicate with them confidently. For example, the search api is still experimental - should I use this or buy in an external solution? If it was on a roadmap to come out of experimental, i'd be more confident in making that decision.
