Have faith :) I honestly think AppEngine team is one of the best, the fact that you can actually interact with people behind the scenes is a proof There are many products/stuff out there that act a lot like a blackbox, not too related, but company-wise speaking, facebook platform developer ecosystem is a good example, you can never interact with people behind the scenes, they always hide themselves behind automated emails, bugs are discarded, communities are destroyed etc.
