Hello, I was hoping someone from Google could point me in the right direction here. We are in the process of designing how our Google Apps system will be configured and we have a bit of uncertainty.
If we configure our Google Apps system to use SAML authentication and our SSO provider is down is there anyway that the user can get into their Google Apps account? I was under the impression that if a student tried to access my Google Apps domain that they would be redirected to my SSO URL. Someone recently mentioned that it is possible to enable both SAML and direct login using password from sent using the Provisioning API which would allow you to use both SAML method and the https://www.google.com/a/mydomain U/P form method to login. I was under the impression that when you used SAML, that the API password was only used for Chat and POP access. Is there any documentation that spells this out?
