Either you're getting me wrong, or I'm getting it wrong or both :-)

If you use SSO then you won't need to manage any google passwords, the
users wont use their google passwords to access their google services,
they will use their AD passwords.

See what I'm saying?

Look at the diagram carefully, in step 4 the authentication occurs
with the Identity Provider, there is no authentication via passwords
to the google system at all, it's all done via the SAML response back
to google.
