In India, almost all universities conduct even semesters end term exams in the month of April-May. It is possible that Indian students won't be able to participate even in the qualification round (that includes me too. My exams will span across the 2nd and 3rd week of May.)
In my opinion, the schedule followed until now, that is qualification round in the July or August and so on is the best.
