HI Alain - I have no way of reproducing this. If you contact me off list I can (with permission) point you to the accounts of users who have experienced this problem. I don't know whether that's a help or not.
The addon doesn't retry step 3. The GET returns http status 200 so there's nothing to indicate that there's a problem or that it omitted to provide an <entry> in the <feed> when it should have. The behaviour seems to be highly intermittent. A few dozen users have reported this behaviour over the past few months.
