This has been a known problem for quite a while. I think my gadgets
started disappearing more than 6 months ago. This is clearly a
problem which they haven't done anything about for a very long. It's
questionable if the iGoogle Team will actually do anything about it.

I had 200+ gadgets at one point and now there are only two hand fulls
left. My gadgets are in no way spam gadgets.

It's been my recommendation to all my clients to stop developing
gadgets for iGoogle immediately until this problem is resolved. One
even spent $500 on a gadget and after being submitted 3 times over two
months never even turned up in the directory!

Let me put things in perspective. The iGoogle team has also stated
they will deprecate all the grand-fathered inline gadgets. I have a
number of them in this category. They were supposed to be deprecated
mid December. They are still fully active and functional (though the
code is frozen, not a biggy). Also, there hasn't been much in the way
of iGoogle team communications.

Here is my guess on this: iGoogle is seeing a lot less funding lately
because it loses money. If it were a funded project this problem
would be resolved and then some.

I am not going to retool my inline gadgets to be normal gadgets until
this problem is fixed. A lot of users will not be happy; they should
direct their anger at the iGoogle Team.
