  32-bit.

  picasa-3.0.5744-02.i386.rpm

I have to admit to copying /opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/drive_c/
Program\ Files/Google/Picasa3 out of the way and unzipping that dir.,
from a full Windows install of 3.6 (had also previously done the same
with 3.5).

(I don't think that's the issue: it was working before Fedora 12,
and I don't think I'm getting as far as running wine)

OK, for sanity's sake, I just tried with the virgin RPM Program
Files and it made no difference.

I downloaded the 'current' RPM at the moment; it's the same
3.0.5744 I already have installed.

Same as before (i.e., no extra debug), the popup and:

Your locale is set to:
en_GB.UTF-8
Which is not a UTF-8 locale. Expect problems with non-English content.
