There is a limitation of two connections =per server= at a time that
is imposed by the browser.
So, if you are loading data from servers that are different from the
ones where the tiles come from, you should not be affected.

Of course, there may also be a problem of bandwidth where your
connection to the internet has very limited throughput, which may be
the other case where you can see the problem.

Please, could you let us know what the scenario is in your case?
