Andy doesn't know what the issue is either. His SWF does work just fine, but if you take his source code and build it, it doesn't work.
But if you use his code to load one of the smaller GIFs it does work just fine. Very strange. But seeing quite a few people seem to be having these BitmapData errors, I'm beginning to wonder if a bug has slipped in between testing and release, or possible a bug has slipped into the runtime.
