Paul, what I meant is implemented in this example (http:// gis.cityofboston.gov/solarboston/ - click "Layers") - several layers to be turned on/off. Here it is realized with ArcGIS Server. So doing that by means of a WMS sounds very good, but I did not find good tutorials, the only one is http://biodiversityatlas.com.s3.amazonaws.com/gmapwms/GoogleMapsWMSOverlay.html but this one does not seem to work properly (I can't see the biodiversity map). Do you know another one?
Thanks. @ Nianwei: what I mean is this: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/overlay-simple.html On Jul 26, 4:44 am, Paul Hastings <[email protected]> wrote: > > One thing I would definitely appreciate as fast as possible would be > > the possibility to add custom overlays such as own vector maps or > > imagery (user can turn on/off various layers as in a GIS). > > not sure what you mean but you can add your own data to google maps > via a WMS server (like geoserver) & some tiling. we do that all the > time. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API For Flash" group.
