My experience with AFComponent's Bing Map API was rather less than impressive compared to Google Map. It took me a while to work out the Google Map API startup performance issue with mobile, but after an interesting hack it was rather painless.
Microsoft's been trying to kill Flash with their Silverlight, as a full-time .NET Developer, I highly doubted Microsoft's motive supporting Flash, which is more of an underdog approach. Google Chrome bundles Flash and Google O/S treats Flash as first class citizen, I would put more faith in Google than Microsoft in terms of Flash support. Sigh, after all, most Google Map developers still think JavaScript rules, leaving the good Flash AS3 developers a niche category for any support. Time to spread the Flash gospel, and perhaps we could get more attention here.
