So I changed the line you mentioned to allow for another lower zoom
level.  I had made tiles for them all the way down to 1 but wasn't
interested in allowing the user to zoom out that far.

Now it reads:
  var tilelayers = [new GTileLayer(copyrightCollection,3,6)];
And the zoom layer works fine, but the little blue box still seems to
be missing:
