Yeah Lance, I would love to think that they wouldn't stop you - but if you have coded your entire app, release it and its popular - then Google come along and send you a "violation of TOS" you have to pull your app - loose all the people who installed it and you are back at sqaure one until you get a new mapping service going. I really would love to use Google Maps - but with the lack of clarification, not sure its work the risk.
