Pamela, It could go in the itemized list, next to "- If you're new to debugging JavaScript ...".
Often, people post a (relevant) question, and we spend time looking at their problem and answering it. Then they don't understand the answer, because they have no clue about any kind of programming, and they get all upset if you tell them that, before dealing with the API, they ought to know what array.push() does. (and they start giving out 1- star ratings as well). It is fine when people with little experience post a question. We all started like that. But it would be nice to have something in the group to quote, to tell them that this is not the place to ask about how to write an HTML link, or what an array is. -- Marcelo - http://maps.forum.nu -- On Sep 4, 11:57 pm, "pamela fox" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Where do you want that in the guidelines? > > On Thu, Sep 4, 2008 at 2:42 PM, marcelo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Pamela, > > > Could we add the following quote, adapted from the main documentaiton > > page? > > > "This group is for software developers familiar with JavaScript > > programming and object-oriented programming concepts.
