Lance, I have fetched and applied http://www.dyasdesigns.com/geoxml/geoxml.js, and also completed my kmls with <document> <open>true</open> The single level kml http://adszhu.googlepages.com/testALP.kml gets parsed fine, but the multilevel one http://adszhu.googlepages.com/ALP.kml remains parsed the same (http://adszhu.googlepages.com/testGeoXmlParser.html) Also, when parsing testALPkml, it looks different than on your site (different placemar icons)
