I need to present a map showing anywhere from 1 to 3000+ shaded US counties. Is this feasible using encoded polygons, or will it take too long to display? There's a famous name brand (ahem) gis web service that I'm currently using and it takes 40-60 seconds of their server time to display all the shaded counties for the lower 48.
Our target range would be in the 10-15 seconds response time. Is it worth investigating google maps further? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
