Your users might have a limit. What use to them is a map covered with 2,000 crowded identical markers? Will they even bother waiting for the map to build? (those using IE on older machines won't!!) A rule of thumb for sensible map loading is around 200 markers max. Using GGeoXml does have its own limits too.
