Not really. But your Browser does. Many features plotted at once and
the map seriouslly begins to slow down...

When you use the provided GGeoXml class it (as you noticed) only
displays a limited number of features at a time in a bid to keep the
map responsive.

You also have to consider how useful the map will be. With 2000 big
blue pins shown the map will not be visble (or barely! )

You can use a lighter (and smaller) marker with will help, but I would
say that that many is still too much.

So you need to get creative...
