thanks for your solution. It's a really cool idea to check the
filesize of the streetview overlay to find out if streetviews are
available!

But (during implementing this solution) I checked the API Docs again
and - shame on me - found an "official" way for my problem:
Since version 2.102 there is an event "hasStreetviewData" in the class
GStreetviewOverlay. This is perfect :)
