Hi mapperzUK, thanks for your solution. It's a really cool idea to check the filesize of the streetview overlay to find out if streetviews are available!
But (during implementing this solution) I checked the API Docs again and - shame on me - found an "official" way for my problem: Since version 2.102 there is an event "hasStreetviewData" in the class GStreetviewOverlay. This is perfect :) Look here: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/reference.html#GStreetviewOverlay Sascha On 28 Okt., 13:11, mapperzUK <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > in you map load up - use your bounding box to request if a streetview > file is available. > send a request > like > if filesize is bigger than 0.65 kB (662 bytes) then it will be a > streetview tile. > > a street view > tilehttp://cbk0.google.com/cbk?output=overlay&zoom=14&x=4954&y=6060&cb_cl... > show StreetView - so switch on streetview button > > not a streetview > tilehttp://cbk0.google.com/cbk?output=overlay&zoom=14&x=4954&y=7000&cb_cl... > show StreetView - so switch off streetview button > > done. > > Mapperzhttp://mapperz.blogspot.com/ > > On Oct 28, 11:42 am, archinform <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > Hi all, > > > doesn't really have anyone a solution for my problem? > > > Yesterday Goggle published streetview data for the biggest cities in > > Spain and I would really like to implement now a streetview button in > > my GoogleMaps window if a user zoom/pan to America/France/Japan or > > Spain. > > > Sascha- Zitierten Text ausblenden - > > - Zitierten Text anzeigen - --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
