If your device supports JavaScript, DHTML & the DOM, you can do it in
browser with dynamically positioned DOM elements.  You will have to
clip the result with a "peek-a-boo" DIV (overflow:hidden;) which also
simplifies "click" handling.  You will have to provide an equivalent
to:

    getTileUrl

for GTileLayerOverlay.

Otherwise, you must transmit a single compressed composit image from
your server.
