I checked on another desktop which has the same IE version:
6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.080814-12315 + SP2
This one works fine. This machine has been following MS's usual
updates
So I guess the issue might be that MS's original IE 6.0 does have a
crash problem when refreshing google map page with polyline (not able
to confirm this at the moment). But somehow the update corrected this
problem.
