Hi everyone, I am trying to obtain a Google Maps API so that I can create maps to be used on our corporate website. So far, I am not having a great deal of luck. We have an internal staging web server, an internal live web server and two external live web servers.
The URL for the internal staging web server is http://staging.synergyhealthplc.com The URL for the internal live web server is http://www.synergyhealthplc.com The URL for the two external live web servers is http://www.synergyhealthplc.com I have requested a key for http://www.synergyhealthplc.com and inserted the Javascript provided including the correct API key into the relevant pages on our website. I have then published these changes to our live internal and external web servers from the staging server. When attempting to visit the live website (http:// www.synergyhealthplc.com), I receive the following error message: "The Google Maps API server rejected your request. This could be because the API key used on this site was registered for a different web site. You can generate a new key for this web site at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/."; The same occurs when I try to register a separate API key for use on our staging server. The URL I supply when requesting the key is http://staging.synergyhealthplc.com I have spoken to our infrastructure team who have said that our live web site (external version) is referenced by an A record for www.synergyhealthplc.com, which in turn points to an IP address but the http get request has the www.synergyhealthplc.com in it. I don't know if this information is of any help to you, but I would greatly appreciate any assistance with getting this API key to work on both our staging and live servers.
