Hello I have a list of ZIPcode ranging from 1992 to 2006. Now I am struggling with the temporal change of these zips, how do I locate my ancient zips on map? It seems either US census ZCTAs or private vendors provides shapefiles from 2000 (ZCTAs have 1990, but too old).
If based on ESRI 2007 zipcode shapefile, there will be 440 ZIP codes that couldn't be located on map. Among them, some are PO, some are obsolete, and some seems to be valid according to USPS zipfider database. What would be the possible approaches to deal with this problem? Thanks!
