Since sometime last night, the geocoder no longer works like it used to. If you type in a position, it now appears to be "snapped" to a road, it can no longer be "in the wilderness"
Here is an example using the geocoder code from : http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/examples/geocoding-simple.html type : 45.94959, 6.95926 and it gets "snapped" to 45.92534, 6.86979 It used to just center the map on the actual 45.94959, 6.95926 position. I think I had noticed something similar a couple of weeks ago for a few hours but then it went back to normal. Is that a definitive change ? I hope not as it's going to limit the usefulness of the geocoder that could be used as a way to center the map on a particular spot, be it on a road or not.
