No special proxy settings. It also happens when I am at work, or at home, or on a public network.
Just a rundown again: It happens: On any website with an embedded Google Map (except maps.google.com). Using any browser: Safari, Firefox and Opera. Only on my laptop on any network I join. No special proxy settings, and I have tried emptying cache, history and completely uninstalling the browsers and reinstalling them. Contacted Apple, and they insist it is a "Google Maps" issue, even though I am not convinced. I believe it may be due to the way GM is implemented in Apple OSX, but I don't have any real evidence.
