I'm not going to police anything, that's up to Google.  I shouldn't
think it's too difficult though.

What, the code I suggested you look at?  No, it's about tiles, and not
directly relevant to you.  To decide what tiles to use, it does maths
around pixels, lat/longs, and zoom level which appeared to be what you
wanted an example of.
