Looks to me like its working exactly as intended
on initial load it goes where it is set... then subsequent clicks
on folders go to there content extents...
The home button in google gadget goes to the initial view.
If you are not seeing the above then did you clear cache?

Are you wanting to override the outermost folder? or something like
that
