I think what is happening is that when a marker is moved off the map it's actually removed from the map (because it's outside the viewport and isn't needed). Removing the marker closes the infoWindow. Pouf. It *may* be related to moving the whole group off the map rather than just the infoWindowed marker, not sure. I can't find what's controlling it, though.
