Another good suggestion - NO. It apparently
only happens when the map needs to move
big time to show the infowindow. Most likely,
not tested, it wouldn't happen with smaller
infowindow, either.

I agree it looks like that, anyway - allthough
the icon for the marker doesnt seem to get removed
(or maybe it does but only for split second).

I've enabled the geoxml "messagebox" to see what
it reports on displaying - indeed, sometimes it
seems to remove some markers while panning the
map, but sometimes it doesnt (or doesnt report
it in time).

Is that a known feature - infowindow closing
when the marker that opened it is removed ?
With a infowindow open, i can drag the
map way off to Greenland - with all markers
out of sight - and it still doesnt close the
infowindow.
