Lance, I agree, there should be a way to list all elements of a multigeometry in the sidebar, but it is very common in KML to use a point+polygon to add a labelling icon and a mouseover effect (in GE) -in these cases only one element in the sidebar makes sense, the parent Placemark.
Just like geoXML is capable of generating textual labels on top of the polygons, it should be smart enough to support this commonly found KML structure, maybe a 'listmultigeometry=true/false' would be popular... I know I know (now that I have read the EgeoXml docs!) ... 'sidebarfn:' is there to let people write custom functions to filter sidebar items as they like!
