http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=new+york returns New York City. Why doesn't http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=devon return any of the known cities/towns/counties named Devon? That's my question. http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=down returns the county of Down in Ireland in its result set. http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=down,ireland specifically returns just that result. Why doesn't http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=devon,uk return the county of Devon? If it's a bug, or just missing data, that's fine. I can accept that. I just wanted to see if anyone knew the answer. And I was hoping a Googler might chime in, as they do indeed read and respond to this mailing list from time to time. Search for Pamela Fox, as an example. As for my question about 602 errors, it's not an unreasonable request. I'm asking for a statistic. Just like any other statistic, it is subject to a standard error. Of course I don't expect Google to release this data, but you don't get what you don't ask for. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
