Hello,

I am studying informatics at the university of Munich. Currently we
are running a project with a so called “community mirror framework”.
Within this “cmf” are different views implemented (e.g. a graph-view
which shows persons or organization and their connection to each
other). Our task as one project team is to implement a map-view. As
the name may let you suggest, on this map will be the persons or
organization as marker to show the hometown/position. At the moment we
are using the JXMapKit to display a map from openstreetmap but due to
the partly bad map quality we want to use Google-maps. So my question
is: Is it possible to use Google-maps (if possible also the satellite-
view) legally in an java application? This is an absolute 100% non-
commercial project and just for studying purposes. Since we are not
allowed to use JavaScript(we can´t use Google-maps-api) , do you see
any chance to get this project working?

Many many thank in advance and kind regards,
Dennis Haase
