I get different click-location coordinates in FFox and IE. Why?

To see what I'm seeing, use the skinny gray "vertical" line (just off
the road, down to the right) for reference.

Good: When I hover the cursor over the top end of that line, then move
it down to the bottom end of that line, both FFox and IE change from
about ....708 to ....702, a difference of ....06.

Good: When I click either end in FFox, the "alert" states basically
the same lat/lng as mousemove.

Bad: When I click the top end in IE's, the alert says the lat is ....
710 at the top, ....649 at the bottom, a DIFFERENCE OF ....61 instead
of ....06. (To increase the mystery, the midpoint of that line is
only 03 from the top of the line.)

What is UP with this? The longitude is even more messed up in IE.

Thanks
John
