Hello Lance,

I have tested your link with both Firefox and IE.
There is a noticeable speed improvement with the kjson file in IE.
However, it is not really smooth. Tracks are still long to come up,
transition between map styles is slow and even freezing (stay on the
earth view and cannot be changed in my case). Updating of the map is
slow when zooming in and out and for translations. Hence, it is not
particularly attractive.
Firefox on its side is still performing quite well and I would like IE
to work the same way, to say the least. It seems impossible for the
moment.

As I am not able to erradicate IE from the earth, then I must admit my
project cannot be put on line as is.

I don't think it is a problem on your code and I guess others like
EGeoXml, GGeoXml and so on would perform similarly. It is just the
weaknesses of IE which do not allow me to use such codes to parse
heavy kml and kjson files.

Therefore, I have to put a (temporary) end on this and use a direct
link to Google Maps instead in order to get something working fine for
all my users, whatever their browser.

Thanks again Lance for all the time and effort you have put to try to
solve this issue.
I keep my page pending and shall follow your project for future
improvements which could bring a solution to the IE struggle.

Good luck,

Michel
