KJSON loading enhances the initial load time of the data in GeoXml

It is possible to tweak settings used in the simplification ... but
that is
kind of voodoo ish...

mouseover styling on your example could and probably should be turned
off
not much advantage whichever browser is engaged.

I would like them to both work as nicely as Chrome or Safari...

That would be an ie is generally old and inferior issue...
ie7 was a fake upgrade that they eventually started putting
effort in to ... IE8 is ok, but still being beat out by Chrome
and Safari the fast boys on the block. (Javascript and
vector rendering both)

Client side vector data uses a lot of resources.
Google has something they do which
involves converting larger vectors to a tile set.
