i know, i've put that on purpose. as i wanted to know the reason
(which you stated), it did work with the 500,300. I've also found my
bug in the code.. (which isnt like the code i uploaded to the
site...it seems i had somewhere a handleResize function i wrote and it
ran and... well, changed the size of the map thus, different
browsers).

so... what is the best width,height for the map such that would look
best on different browsers and mobile devices (without porting to the
v3 of the api) ?
from your experience...
